What were you doing this time last year?

We were in London, Paris, and then Singapore. Performing various programs including Bill Henson’s Luminous. We were also performing at the Barbican where we are in residence, and sadly we are meant to be there right now.

(The Barbican Centre is a performing arts centre in the Barbican Estate of the City of London and the largest of its kind in Europe. The centre hosts classical and contemporary music concerts, theatre performances, film screenings and art exhibitions. It also houses a library, three restaurants, and a conservatory)

What do you miss?

Live performance and the interaction with the international community. The non-parochialism, the hectic pace and the vibrant mix of people. I miss London, the great global city.

What are you doing that’s different from last year?

Staying at home, exploring the nation of NSW. Having time to learn new software – video editing and different digital audio software.

What innovations have you, your team, your company or even your friends and family developed to help adapt to these times?

Homecasts, the release of video for digital online content, and learning to live without income.

What has been positive for you over this time that you will take into future projects; ways of working and thinking?

Great east coast lows that have come in and created great surf. surf. Focus to monetise digital online content (work in progress!)
